J.P. Morgan Global Wealth Management provides investment management products and services to high net worth and ultra-high net worth investors. It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds.
The Private Equity due diligence team is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and monitoring private investment funds and co-investments across buyout, growth equity, real estate and private credit funds for inclusion in private client portfolios across the global client franchise.
With over $52 billion in total commitments since 2000, the Private Equity Due Diligence team uses a "best-of-breed" approach to source investment opportunities across its broad platform. A disciplined, open architecture selection process enables the group to offer private clients high quality investment opportunities.
This candidate will be responsible for:
Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge relating to the private equity, private credit and real estate private market industries.
Assist with fund manager searches, due diligence and monitoring of new and existing private funds.
Participate in the review of potential co-investment opportunities.
Maintain detailed monitoring records post-investment including hosting and documenting regular update calls/meetings with fund managers, attending fund annual meetings and onsite visits.
The key attributes and qualifications for this candidate will include:
No more than two years of work experience following completion of undergraduate program
Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum overall GPA of 3.2
1-2 years of private fund due diligence experience, investment banking, or similar hands-on investment experience.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems and to manage multiple tasks at once.
Good judgment and discretion working with highly confidential information.
Strong written, presentation and communication skills to represent JP Morgan to fund managers, internal audiences and GWM clients.
CFA or progress toward CFA charter preferred.
