The Global Market Insights Strategy Team runs an industry-leading program providing financial advisors and their clients with insights on the economic environment and investment strategy worldwide. These insights are delivered via the industry-leading Guide to the Markets publications, speeches, conference calls, and media appearances of a global team of strategists and analysts. Over the past dozen years, Market Insights has been a key factor in powering the growth of JPMorgan Asset Management.
The Executive Assistant will work closely with the Chief Global Strategist and report to the Director of Business Strategy. The candidate will be part of the U.S. Market Insights team which is based in New York and comprised of five strategists, four analysts, and the Director of Business Strategy. The candidate must have the initiative to assume responsibility for tasks outlined below, and the skills to execute these tasks independently, with attention to quality and detail. Duties will require initiative, sound decision-making, independent judgment, and ability to come up with new ideas to improve our operations. The overall goal of the role is to help manage the day to day operations of our team.

Provide administrative support for the Chief Global Strategist including travel, calendar management, meeting rooms, expense management, and employee onboarding and off-boarding
Provide support to the Director of Business Strategy including management of a small conference call series, monthly communications to the salesforce, and other special projects.
Organize travel and speaking engagements to optimize the US strategists’ time and costs
Track the US strategists activity in speaking engagements, media, and calls
Lead and represent the team in the corporation’s Business Resiliency activities
Provide administrative support to the team including expense management, team off sites, meeting room management, distribution lists, and ad hoc projects
Boost team morale by coordinating team activates including occasional lunches to celebrate birthdays and career milestones
Respond in a timely fashion to requests from clients and the sales force
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Strong background in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Understanding of global organizational structure
Solid organizational skills to manage and execute projects
Willingness to learn new things and ability to grasp new concepts quickly
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter and must be a team player
Knowledge of financial markets and global economics a plus
