JPMorgan - Equity Specialty Sales ( Energy Sector Specialist)

  • Partnering with the tradingteam to cover Institutional Clients. Prior buy-side analyst/PM levelrelationships are a positive but not a requirement.

  • The team is responsiblefor aggregating, synthesizing, and analyzing market information, whetherit be corporate news (earnings, mergers, etc), “macro” data (economicnumbers, regulatory developments, etc), and unusual price movements (sharpmovements in certain stocks, sectors, currencies).

  • The candidate shouldproduce several written investment updates throughout the day and teammembers are required to have strong reading/writing skills.

  • JPMorgan as a firmproduces a substantial amount of research across multiple geographies andsectors – the candidate will be responsible for being aware of everythingbeing published within their sector and tying it in as best as possible tocurrent market events.

  • Team members will beresponsible for not only aggregating and summarizing JPM research, butalso for identifying and elevating conviction calls..

  • Team members will beresponsible for fielding questions throughout the day from internalco-workers (traders, salespeople, analysts) as well as externalclients. As a result, strong intrapersonal skills arerequired.

  • Hours – MI team membersare expected to put out their sector morning summary no later than 6:30 amand will stay on average until 4:30-5pm (some days will require laterdepartures).


  • 3+ years of experiencein a fundamentally driven sector specific role are required (banking,research, specialty sales, etc)

  • Candidates must possessstrong entrepreneurial, analytical, quantitative, communication, businesswriting and client-relations skills.

  • Candidates must beadaptable and have the ability to work well under pressure in a demandingenvironment.

  • Candidates should beable to work independently, producing accurate, detailed materials whilemeeting tight deadlines
