Global Finance & Business Management (GF&BM) is seeking a professional based in New York supporting Spread Products Sales & Marketing. Sales & Marketing professionals help institutional clients navigate the breadth of the J.P. Morgan’s product offerings across High Grade, High Yield, Convertibles, Structured Credit, Municipals, Securitized Products Markets and Short Duration products.

The Business Manager (BM), as part of the Americas CIB Sales Business Management organization, provides support to the business, and is critical for driving strategic initiatives, business analysis, process improvement, financial analysis and controls.

In this, we partner with Trading and all support/risk functions (Credit, Market Risk, Operations, Technology, etc). Candidate will be uniquely exposed to business leaders throughout GF&BM while supporting senior Front Office managers focusing on the Credit and Securitized Products Sales Organizations.

The role will have a wide range of responsibilities including planning, reporting, strategy and analytics. The candidate will be exposed to a variety of Fixed Income products.

Core Responsibilities

Drive Growth and Strategy

  • Coordinate and execute on thestrategic and financial objectives of the Americas Sales Organization

  • Work alongside Sales Management,to drive the front office agenda, including partnering with trading andsupport functions

  • Provide analytics for businessdecisions

  • Organize and participate inperiodic business reviews, town halls and other management presentations

  • Act as trusted partner to saleshead

  • Escalate issues and roadblocks

  • Drive competitive benchmarking& market analysis

  • Prepare and communicate businessstrategy, performance and priorities to a broad audience, including seniormanagement

Optimize Business Performance

  • Lead and track annual plan /forecast process

  • Drive regular expense reviews toensure targets are met

  • Provide and effective liaisonbetween the Front Office and various support groups (i.e. Middle Office,Product Control, Business Control) to manage the day to day operations, aswell as defining and implementing key initiatives for the business

  • Assist in planning revenues,headcount, expenses and investment/productivity initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with policies

Manage Business Risks

  • Partner with the controlorganization to identify, assess and mitigate business risks that couldimpair the ability to do business:

  • Lead NBIAs (New BusinessInitiatives)

  • Resiliency planning

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business,Finance, or related area

  • Business Management / Finance /COO experience

  • Spread product background andknowledge preferred

  • Strong verbal and writtencommunications skills

  • Good judgment, maturity and poiseto enable interaction/influencing of senior management

  • Thoughtful analytical skills;able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions

  • Self-starter able to prioritizekey tasks effectively

  • Well organized; ability toprioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Disciplined approach to managingprocesses and controls

  • Energetic, self-motivated andeffective under pressure - must enjoy the challenge of working within afast-paced and demanding working environment

  • Strong analytical and data manipulationskills; proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint
