The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the CIB’s business strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Head of CIB Tech F&BM, with a second line into the Chief Technology Office. The primary function of the role is to provide comprehensive financial and strategic support to the CTO and an organization of circa 700FTE accounting for close to $300MM of expenses. The role will involve regular interaction with senior management across Technology, Operations, F&BM, as well as the front office stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bea trusted business partner to enable technology executions by managing overallplanning, forecasting, communications and reporting

  • Leadthe management of organizational design, workforce management, locationstrategy and associated governance

  • Leadthe implementation of the CIB Technology F&BM framework within FISpread line of business

  • Workacross technology executives and teams to develop and maintain a multiyearplan, strategy and roadmap

  • Analyzeand propose process improvements including automation

  • Developand organize several executive-level monthly business reviews to allstakeholders – ensuring all technical content is executive friendly andclear

  • Drivethe annual financial planning process through engagement with stakeholders

  • Manageglobal real estate footprint for the technology group supported.

  • Workingwith the rest of the team to understand impact of workforce management,location strategy and real estate on portfolio’s financials andexecution. Making strategic recommendations that can proactivelyidentifying risks.

  • Develop/managebusiness continuity and resiliency plans for the technology team

  • Leadthe FI Spread Technology F&BM team, ensuring continuous focus onprogression and development of the people agenda

  • 15+years of relevant industry experience, ideally coupled with strategy,business management and financial experience

  • Analyticalmind with program and/or project management background with the ability todrill into details, work across barriers

  • Mustbe organized and able to manage multiple timelines across many programs.

  • Musthave strong communications ability – written and oral

  • Idealexperience/background in finance, technology, and operations

  • Mustbe a confident leader -- possessing a strength of personality andintellect to gain the respect of demanding business heads and seniorfinance management team

  • Musthave a collaborative and participative style. Professionalism,sensitivity, discretion and sound decision-making skills allied with theability to interact at senior executive level are essential.

  • Abilityto prioritize, multi task and drive the agenda under pressure

  • Strongmanagerial experience with the ability to work in a matrix organization
