J.P. Morgan Treasury Services (TS) is a line of business within J.P. Morgan's Corporate & Investment Bank, which supports the transaction services and cash management needs of clients worldwide. Within TS, Core Cash Management provides solutions to clients across the entire payables and receivables continuum and includes products such as Global Clearing, Automated Clearing House, Lockbox, and Commercial Card.

The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the CIB’s business strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.

Overview

We are looking for a Vice President in Business Management to support the Core Cash Management Product team by providing strategic support, financial insight, and decision-making guidance. The Core Cash Management business provides a stable annuity revenue base for the CIB with high returns on capital.

There have been several developments in the wholesale payments space and as a result, Business Management seeks smart, highly-analytical, and strategic team members to help influence effective business decisions.

The Business Manager will be part of a team to analyze the business, monitor the competitive landscape across traditional wholesale payment providers and emerging providers, and help develop the business strategy to compete effectively in the changing marketplace.

Additionally, Business Managers partner with our other finance colleagues (P&A and Product Controllers) for budgeting, forecasting and financial analytics and is responsible for supporting the strategic and financial agenda of the broader management team, resulting in exposure to senior management such as the Global Product Head and Regional Heads as well as the TS CFO on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of a team of trusted advisors to the CoreCash Management product organization across a range of matters

  • Participate in global and regional businessstrategy and set overall business direction through qualitative andquantitative input on major decisions and drivers for the business

  • Develop global annual financial plan and monthlyforecasts in collaboration with regional business managers

  • Support the revenue and growth goals of thebusiness through analyzing new sales, deal realization rates, attrition, andprice compression

  • Manage the investment process across TS to helpthe business manage its technology plan

  • Work collaboratively across finance and thebusiness while upholding financial control and consistency to ensure accurateforecasts

  • Actively engage in creating senior managementlevel presentations and providing effective reporting to senior product executives,business managers, and Finance CFO’s

  • 5-7 years of experience with working knowledgeof the wholesale payments landscape

  • Experience with financial modeling andconducting valuations

  • Effective communication and presentation skillswith clear evidence of leading senior management discussions

  • Inquisitive nature with advanced problemsolving, critical thinking, and analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability topartner with and build relationships across the organization

  • Prior professional experience in investmentbanking, management consulting, or internalcorporate or line of business strategy a plus

  • Knowledge of FinTech landscape (companies,investors, etc.) and emerging technologies helpful but not required

  • Bachelors Degree required; advanced degree aplus
