As a Trade Support Specialist in equity syndicate operations your primary responsibilities include the issuance, funding, and delivery of equity, equity-linked, and equity derivatives securities.
Although syndicate operations is considered a "specialty" function, it brings to bear many disciplines incorporated in the middle office. In the course executing Equity Derivative deals, we liaise heavily with the SIDM Middle Office, Front Office Marketers across all product types, settlement operations, cash management, legal, and compliance.
In supporting the EDG issuances, the candidate should be able to work in a high volume, high visibility (high risk) environment. Basic product knowledge is necessary but, more importantly, the candidate should be able to team-build both internally and externally.
The job duties initially will be weighted in EDG issuances but the candidate will be expected to support the Equity Capital Markets and Special Equities teams as part of cross training.
Knowledge of Cash Equities MO systems such Sphinx, T-Dome, SCPP are benefits. The candidate will be expected to lend support in all facets of syndicate operations over a reasonable time frame.
The specific experience necessary for this position is:
Strong derivatives knowledge is preferred; knowledge of securities products is a plus
A minimum of one year prior Operational and/or line experience, is required.
Previous experience in syndicate operations or other facets of issuance is a plus
Highly organized -
Knowledge of settlements and DTC also a plus
Self-motivation and demonstration of initiative
Excellent Analytical skills
Ability to handle large transaction volumes
Extremely detailed orientated
Keen to question everything and understand the detail behind the numbers and/or process
BA or BS degree is necessary
Strong PC Skills : in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint
