Risk Management, under the direction of the firm’s CRO, provides a firm wide independent function for the management of risk. One of the firm's top priorities continues to be strengthening its risk and control environment. The Firmwide Risk Governance & Strategy team, within Corporate Risk, complements this mission by providing a stringent governance and control framework, and supports the CRO in helping drive the strategic agenda.

The Executive Writer will report to the Head of the Risk Governance and Strategy team and will be responsible for synthesizing strategic level updates and messaging, in partnership with senior Risk executives. This role is responsible for transforming ideas and concepts into clear concise presentations for the most senior level audiences at the firm, such as the Board, Operating Committee (OC) and other C-Suite level forums. Additionally, he/she will provide coverage for external presentations to Investors, regulators and other audiences as needed.

Successful candidates must have strong news judgment and the ability to edit and elevate messaging to help connect the content with the appropriate audience under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

§ Be part of a team responsible for creation of internal content generation for high level risk executives and Board level committees

§ Responsible for writing, editing and proofreading content to ensure clarity and consistency

§ Synthesize strategic messages into cohesive, compelling presentations

§ Produce original, clear and creative ideas/messages

§ Help manage quality and version control of content in production

§ Support various ad-hoc activities across Firmwide Risk Management

§ Partner with broader Governance and Strategy team to deliver effective content

§ Develop story boarding processes and tools to help train others on effective communication

Qualifications:

§ 3-5 years of experience in journalism, publishing or internal communications with outstanding writing skills

§ Degree in English, Journalism or Business preferred

§ Familiarity with institutional financial services industry (Investment Banking, Global Markets, Treasury Services, etc.)

§ Superior attention to detail

§ Adept at working with colleagues at all levels, including senior management

§ Self-starter who is comfortable working independently

§ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives

§ High level of independence, energy and integrity; demonstrates respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, and accepts accountability and responsibility

§ Excellent presentation skills

Technical skills:

§ Word and PowerPoint expertise required.

§ Sample work must be provided.
