JPMorgan Chase Front Office Rates Business Analysis in New York, New York

As a Lead Business Analyst in CIB Macro – Rates eTrading team, you will be responsible for working on multiple prioritized projects with responsibility for ensuring that the project deliverables fulfill the business's agreed requirements. This will include analysis & documentation of both functional and non-functional business requirements, process & data modeling, validation of technical deliverables to meet those requirements and strategy to test code developed. This role is part of a Global Team working closely with Rates Trading desks as the main user base. This is a terrific opportunity for a high energy individual seeking broad exposure to the business. The roles will have significant interaction with the Front Office Business and support teams. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8+ years business analysis experience within Investment Banking.

Throughout a project the lead Business Analyst is also responsible for:

  • Maintain a good relationship with key sponsors

  • Capture of business requirements and use cases (including screen designs)

  • Driving requirements through user due diligence and sign off

  • Partner with developers to ensure requirements are implemented as per specification

  • Establishing test strategy and test cases as we all as validation of test cases

  • Ensuring all risks and issues relating to scope and analysis managed appropriately.

  • Ensuring that all re-usable resources and knowledge are stored in the appropriate knowledge base for the benefit of others in the team. This will include items that are not necessarily linked to any single project.

  • Validation and quality control of any business analysis deliverables produced by junior members of the team.

  • Troubleshooting of issues including working with Level 1 + 2 support teams and business users

  • Minimum 8 years of Front Office Business Analysis experience

  • Business knowledge of Rates products specifically derivatives

  • Must have worked on solution design through client problem statements and not just requirements notation.

  • Business Process Modeling and analysis techniques including production of Use Case Models, detailed Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, State Diagrams and Logical design Models.

  • Experience on global projects including facilitation of workshops with remote participants and rationalization of regional requirements.

  • Ability to translate effectively between clients and developers

  • Innovative problem solving skills

All internal moves will normally take place on the same grade and same salary. Salaries are reviewed annually in February. Exceptions to the rule regarding transfer on current salary may include a move between geographic locations.
