JPMorgan Chase Marketing Associate - Commercial Banking in New York, New York

As a Commercial Banking Marketing Associate, you will work to develop and implement strategic marketing plans that increase sales and grow market share for the Northeast region Middle Market business. You will work with regional leadership, bankers and business managers to identify the needs of the business in conjunction with developing targeted marketing initiatives. You will be exposed to the full range of marketing functions including; event management, thought leadership distribution, content development, communications and marketing collateral. You will work closely with CB Marketing & Strategy partners including the Market Intelligence, Creative Services, Digital, Media Relations and Communications teams.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Support strategic marketing plans and initiatives to support business goals

• Measure return on investment and prioritize marketing activities accordingly

• Develop strong relationships with Northeast Middle Market Region Managers to become a trusted advisor

• Partner with local support teams to provide marketing support

• Communicate ongoing marketing updates to the Middle Market Banking sales force

• Plan for and support high-profile customer events, including idea generation, venue selection, budget management, internal/external communications, etc.

• Collaborate with the various functional areas of Commercial Banking Marketing to manage projects, campaigns, new collateral material, sponsorships and events for the business

o Work with the Creative Services team to create invitations, advertisements and other client-facing marketing materials (collateral, direct mail, web content)

o Work with the Communications team on internal and external communications

• Provide support of the projects and programs led by the MMBSI Senior Marketing Manager

• Provide training and guidance to the regional sales teams on how to use central marketing tools

• Participate in Competitive Intelligence data gathering and analysis

• Maintain marketing budget tracking and metrics


  • Bachelor's degree required and 5 years of marketing experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to deliver messages clearly and succinctly

  • Demonstrated skill in writing announcements, invitations and letters

  • Event planning experience

  • Ability to manage projects across businesses, functions and geographic locations

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, forward-thinking and proactive

  • Expertise with Excel (e.g. data manipulation and analysis, equations, etc.) and PowerPoint (creating and editing presentations)

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • High degree of professionalism and flexibility

  • Demonstrates discretion and good judgment

  • Aggressive self-starter, ability to work both independently and as a team member
