The Digital Wealth Management Digital team is charged with creating a fully integrated, elegant and seamless digital experience across the entire life cycle for both clients and advisors, creating a compelling omni-channel experience that both creates efficiencies for clients and advisors and enhances their relationships. We build the strategic vision and execute programs to bring to life this digital experience, driving 360-degree client engagement. Our organization works closely with the business, both in Global Wealth Management and Chase Wealth Management, with teams aligned to front-office regions, service teams, strategy and solutions teams, marketing and technology. This structure enables us to create solutions that drive revenue, increase advisor efficiency, improve client satisfaction and grow market share.
About the Opportunity
As a UX Designer, you will influence and drive the direction, vision, and methodology for our international digital products. This is a hands-on designer role. You will be self-organizing and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team that includes researchers, product managers, engineers, and business partners who share your passion for delivering unique and innovative financial digital products and services of all kinds, including trading and advice platforms. In addition, this role will be working directly with our New York based and international team, including teams in Bangalore, Singapore, Hong Kong, London and Geneva.
You’re a UX Designer who designs thoughtful, elegant, and intuitive experiences. You have a gift for simplifying the complex. You obsess about the details, but you also understand the big-picture product eco-system. You’re passionate about user research and you place the customer’s needs above your own preferences. You prototype low-fidelity ways of solving problems and design experiences that can scale. You leverage design thinking methodology and can easily articulate the strategy behind your design decisions to your team. You thrive when working in a collaborative environment and are not threatened by critique and feedback. You seek out analytics and user testing data to help guide future design decisions, and you iterate with a focus on continuous improvement.
3+ years of experience in product design and graphic / visual development required
BFA or BA in related design field
Ability to synthesize complex, interdependent, and sometimes competing needs
Awareness and practical understanding of current technologies and their application and relevance to digital experiences
Proven understanding of responsive web & mobile application design and wireframe development
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment
Ability to influence others and provide thought leadership on design
Actively listens, hears and understands what is said and not said, and with nuanced comprehension of meaning and intent
Team work: Develops and sustains effective and cooperative working relationships with peers, managers and other internal or external stakeholders
Flexibility/adaptability (ability to change direction based upon team and stakeholder consensus)
Expert level ability in design software applications that include Sketch and prototyping programs such as Principle and InVision
Understanding of digital accessibility principles preferred
Online portfolio demonstrating superior product design experiences required
Willingness to travel
Willingness to work outside of 9-6 hours in order to accommodate communication with international colleagues
