The Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team resides within Corporate Finance. The group is responsible for the execution and delivery against the Firm’s regulatory reporting requirements to its U.S. regulators. The team has end-to-end responsibility for US regulatory reporting and capital stress testing, including the design, implementation, and oversight of the execution, analysis, control and governance frameworks. Its mandate includes determining the appropriate investment in people, processes and technology to improve the accuracy, completeness and consistency of the Firm’s US regulatory reporting and capital stress testing submissions, as well as the implementation of new requirements and guidelines as they are published.
The objectives of the FRRA Team are to provide leadership on all aspects of US regulatory reporting and Firmwide capital stress-testing, including both internal and regulatory requirements.
The TIC Associate is responsible for preparation and/or oversight of monthly, quarterly and annual TIC reports which provide details on purchases and sales of U.S. securities by different counterparties. Functions of this role involve requesting, consolidating, analyzing, validating and reporting financial data while adhering to internal control and documentation standards. The candidate will also be responsible for continuing to enhance the controls and efficiency over the financial reporting processes which may include the identification and resolution of issues/errors, tracking and resolution of data quality issues and process improvements to reduce cycle time.
Additionally, this role requires the individual to:
Participate in and oversee various aspects of the production and review of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports filed with various regulatory agencies. Consolidate, review, and analyze quarterly financial data for accuracy and completeness.
Perform quarter-over-quarter variance consolidation and review.
Develop and implement various control procedures and edit checks to ensure the integrity of reported financial results.
Maintain familiarity of accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements. Participate on firm wide teams to implement new accounting disclosures.
Lead execution of key projects regarding specialty areas.
Help identify gaps in current reporting process and participate in the implementation of new controls and strategic solutions.
Represent the team and lead efforts around strategic initiatives and ongoing improvements around internal/external reporting processes.
Establishing and managing relationships, partnership and dialogue with stakeholders.
Extended working hours will be required during peak periods including some weekends.
Oversee migration of report preparation into team and reengineering of the reporting process.
Oversee release related testing and implementation work.
5+ years total relevant work, industry and product experience (Large Accounting Firm preferred)
Bachelors Degree Required; Accounting or Finance degree preferred
Excellent communication abilities, both written and oral.
Comfortable working with large quantities of data; strong reconciliation and process management experience.
Strong technical skills in Excel. Access experience also preferred.
Strong analytical skills in interpretations of data and identification of anomalies.
Independent worker who is self-motivated; Comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Ability to work on multiple priorities for different sponsors at the same time
Detail oriented, strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to identify, research, and escalate critical issues.
Results-oriented / delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
Comfortable with conveying complex requests to Technology, Operations groups and senior managers.
Supervisory experience preferred
Familiarity with Corporate Financial Architecture (SAP, Finance Reference Data, Merit, Hyperion, CDGL, P&F), plus
CPA preferred / Big 4 Experience a plus
Project management experience/skills helpful
Availability to support Quarter-end close schedules which may required extended hours.
