JPMorgan Chase Finance & Risk Roadmap – Data Product Owner - Sr Associate in Newark, Delaware

The Finance & Risk Warehouse (FRW) is an application serving numerous internal regulatory, finance, and risk reporting consumers across the firm. The key features of the application include:

  • Consolidating detailed data from numerous product and referenceapplications

  • Standardizing and enriching the data in accordance with sound dataarchitecture principles

  • Monitoring the completeness and quality of the data on a dailybasis

  • Enabling operating models to identify and correct bad dataupstream

  • Providing user tools to tactically correct bad data directly inthe warehouse

  • Distributing snapshots of required data at various intervals(daily, monthly, and quarterly) for downstream consumers

This role will be part of the FRW Product Owner team, and own the end-to-end delivery of future enhancements to the FRW application.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Definea product roadmap based on Product Owner vision, data consumer needs, andbusiness benefit to the firm

  • Workwith lines of business to understand their products, how data is captured,and how to strategically source data into the warehouse

  • Workwith consumers to understand what data they need and for what purpose

  • Writeuser stories to enhance the data and/or toolsets within the FRWapplication

  • Prioritizethe backlog of user stories for delivery, based on alignment to theproduct roadmap

  • Engagewith development teams to ensure business needs are translated intoappropriate technical specifications, and acceptance criteria is met

  • Performuser acceptance testing and form an opinion about the overall data qualityimpact pertaining to each change

  • Assessnew business initiatives and their corresponding impacts on data

  • Otheradhoc requests as assigned

  • Required

  • Bachelors'degree required

  • 4to 6 years of experience in financial services

  • Highlyeffective oral and written communications skills

  • Experiencein planning, coordinating, and delivering results across multiple teams andinterdependencies

  • Stronganalytical and control competencies to facilitate production, review, andsign-off of complex financial outputs

  • Knowledgeof and competency in project management process such as planning tasks,allocating resources, risk and issue management, monitoring and reporting,documentation, and recordkeeping

  • Abilityto influence and build strong relationships with people at varying levelsacross the organization

  • Desirable

  • Knowledgeand experience of investment banking, trading, derivatives, and, in particular,liquidity and treasury functions

  • Experienceand/or familiarity with development of Resolution and Recovery Plans or otherregulatory initiatives

  • AdvancedMicrosoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
