The Divisional Director is responsible for setting business and people priorities that drive financial results in a designated geography and reports directly into the Head of Consumer Branch Banking.The Divisional Director oversees Regional Directors who manage teams of Market Directors that encompass the Banking and Wealth Management businesses. Core responsibilities include:

  • Develop a strategic approach to building partnerships firm-wide and across the Consumer Bank leadership team, including Mortgage and Business Banking partners to ensure alignment with customer needs, perceptions and overall experience at Chase

  • Partner with Chase Wealth Management leadership team to create and maintain focus on investment business, growth, trends, regulatory environment and future transformation

  • Understand the future evolution of the Consumer Banking industry and drives strategies based on potential implications for the Chase business

  • Understands the landscape of best practices and benchmarking across relevant industries (i.e. Retail) and applies those best practices to their Division

  • Use both vision, analysis and first-hand manager coaching experience to unlock business problems, cull information/trends and escalate nationally to build compelling fact based recommendations

Drive the integration of deposits and investments throughout the Division, enabling the Regional Directors and Market Directors to lead and build belief in the branch model and achieve key, financial metrics including YOY revenue and profit growth, NNM, deepening, client acquisition and expense management

Think broadly to define the customer experience model and lead Divisional execution to deliver on customer expectations

Build strategies (client service model, client segmentation strategy), product solutions and find opportunities to deepen and grow customer relationships (affluent and other segments)

Create a culture of risk and control that acts with appropriate understanding and urgency; ultimate responsibility to safeguard our customers and business to:

  • Partner across the Consumer Bank leadership team to provide intellectual leadership and solutions for ongoing controls-related issues

  • Drive a culture of high performance standards through adherence to policy, satisfactory audits and consistent execution of KYC &KYP

  • Encourage self-identification of issues and remediation of issues

Set a people agenda that encompasses firm-wide and local focus to attract, retain and develop a high-performing, diverse and inclusive workforce

Identify and develop Regional Directors and Market Directors that build high performing team


  • FINRA Series 7, 9/10 (or equivalent) and 66 (or equivalent) required within 90 days in seat, in addition to meeting FINRA continuing education requirements

  • 15+ years proven experience coaching and managing multiple layers of management and employees in the organization

  • Bachelor Degree required

  • Proven ability to source and attract internal and external talent by building and maintaining personal network of contacts

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and partner with other areas of Consumer & Business Banking

  • High degree of investment services and product acumen, and keen interest in the financial markets

  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
