This is an analytical, hands-on AML/KYC SME role that requires solid project management skills within the JPMorgan Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) organization with focus on the Controls agenda, specifically the Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC) programs that are actively in-progress.
This position requires a strong, collaborative self-starter who can proactively engage a virtual, cross organizational team without the need for heavy direction. Senior level interpersonal skills such as influence management, negotiation, and analytical/problem solving skills are key. This will include providing SME guidance and coordinating with the CCB controls Program/Project Management teams across multiple workstreams, monitoring project progress (risks & issues), preparing and presenting reports for management, analyzing key data, synthesizing, and packaging that information into clear presentations. This position involves partnering closely with Compliance, Technology, Operations, and the sub-lines of business partners across CCB.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Working with sub-LOBs and Operations to provide appropriate KYC/AML SME guidance, or challenge, and ensure consistency (as needed) cross sub-LOBs for AML/KYC deliverables
Proactively identify obstacles and collaborate with team to uncover options/solutions to mitigate
Liaise with CCB Controls PMO teams to understand the portfolio of projects/worskstreams (including status, issues, risks, etc.) and coordinate across multiple workstreams
Partner with the Business to identify operational risks and ensure overall operational readiness and consistency
Develop slides / decks for senior management team
Analyze key data -- synthesizing, distilling, and packaging that information to present and drive decisions
Partner with Technology and Product to help define solutions for AML/KYC Standards and Consent Order deliverables
Identify and help implement continuous process enhancements/improvements
Identify opportunities to automate or streamline current processes, focus on driving efficiency and improvements in controls
Bachelor's Degree required and minimum 8-10 years of experience in Business, Compliance, Operations, Technology, Risk, or Controls
Strong mix of AML/KYC Subject Matter Expertise, and project management skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent judgment and decision making
Ability to resolve conflict & facilitate decision-making, and drive deliverables to completion across multiple stakeholders
Experience establishing and managing project plans and key milestone dates
Experience with Agile and waterfall software development methodologies
Proficient creating senior management presentations using MS PowerPoint
Experience matrix-managing resources that are geographically distributed and culturally diverse
Proven ability to make complex decisions based on experience, analysis and judgment
Flexible, process-oriented, organized, with excellent analytical & troubleshooting skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Microsoft Project is required
Proficient in MS Excel to analyze data, create pivot tables, etc.
Working knowledge of Consumer & Community Bank (CCB) IT and its supporting sub lines of Businesses strongly preferred
Formal project management training and PMP Certification, not required, but is a plus
