JPMorgan Chase Technical Project Manager - Mortgage Banking Applications in Plano, Texas

Project Management for Mortgage Banking (MB) Servicing Applications. Project Management to implement strategic, regulatory and technology driven projects for MB Servicing applications. Work with Line of Business and Application Development teams to define requirements, drive project execution through implementation. This position will work with MB Business Management Office (BMO) to determine and set yearly budgets and measure financial impacts from programs and projects to budget targets.

Job Duties and Expectations

  • Possess a solid understanding of the Mortgage Banking Technology Software Development Life Cycle Phases, Checklists, and RACI.

  • Ability to manage and execute projects through the SLDC

  • Produce phase checklists according to the MBT Governance schedule

  • Mentor/Coach other team members and project members to ensure understanding and alignment

  • Manage entry and updates to project estimates, allocations and actual bookings and provide project level budget oversight

  • Work with project team to maintain an hours variance within the +/-5% threshold as mandated by MBT standards

  • Ensure project allocations, estimates and actuals align with program and department budget numbers

  • Assist in the oversight of Servicing/Default application Roadmaps and Book of Works

  • Partner with the Demand Management team to obtain team commitments to work on projects

  • Manage Servicing/Default portfolios

  • Create, Manage and maintain project SharePoint Sites

  • Administer permissions for site contributors

  • Partner with Demand Management and/or Business PMO teams to setup the overall structure of the site

  • Manage uploads and storage of project artifacts that align to the SDLC

  • Facilitate and Manage project team meetings

  • Effectively document action items, risks, issues, watch items and overall project status

  • Effectively document, maintain and publish meeting minutes and agendas

  • Manage project status reporting

  • Maintain, update and publish weekly status reports

  • Present reports to Steering Committee or Executive Team audiences

  • Partner with Business PMO and other line of business leads to provide outside MBT status reports

  • Document and publish project Communication Plans

  • Manage and Facilitate Implementation Command Centers

  • Proactively participate in team brainstorming sessions and provide suggestions for departmental improvements

  • Partner closely with business PMO partners to managed delivery and execution of project list

  • Effectively escalate issues and/or risks to obtain proper attention from executive leadership groups

  • Participate in Project Management Center of Excellence meetings and discussions when possible

  • Participate in job family discussions to outline job family improvements and ways to overcome obstacles

  • Assist in the implementation of Agile Transformation throughout Mortgage Banking Technology

  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form

  • Ability to forge relationships and build a network of project partners and co-suppliers

  • Ability to solve common project management problems

  • Ability to apply knowledge learned to a variety of situations

  • Ability to utilize Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and SharePoint to effectively support and manage technology projects

  • Ability to utilize core Mortgage Banking tools including Clarity, PPL, BluePrint, AML, and JIRA to effectively manage project reporting, resource allocations and actuals, and other project deliverables

  • Basic understanding of project management philosophies, processes, and methodologies

  • Basic understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology
