About the Team
The FX Product Management function broadly focuses on the product development execution, day to day management along with maintaining standards of risk mitigation and controls for the FX Payments product suite to ensure the business maintains client focused delivery of market viable, profitable and operationally supported solutions.
The FX payments landscape is continuing to evolve – clients now demand simple and cost effective payment methods for complex International payment requirements. Alternate channels like mobile disbursements, International FXACH etc are now contributing to almost 60% of the overall International payment traffic. Development of alternate channels network (both in-house and through Global Partners) is one of the most important cornerstones of the FX Product team, as we continue to broaden our FX payments product and support our clients.
About the Position
FX Product associate is a regional role and comes with a responsibility for supporting our payment partner network expansion that will enable bank to connect with local ACH, RTGS, mobile disbursements, digital wallets etc. This will help various lines of businesses of the bank like CIB, Consumer and CB to process their global payments in the most efficient manner. FX Product associate will focus on the execution of integration with the payment partner(s). In addition, the FX Product associate will support the existing product suite as it relates to product enhancements or complying with new regulatory requirements
Success in the role will require strong partnership, collaboration and engagement with Client facing teams, other Product areas, Sourcing, Risk, Technology, Compliance and Legal.
Build the payments distribution network through internal channels, banks, payment service processors and other available channels.
Liaison with local regulators and policy makers, develop a deep understanding of local regulations, reporting requirements and seek necessary approvals, as and when required
Develop a deep understanding of local clearing networks, mechanics behind new disbursement methods like mobile and digital wallets and devise efficient and varied methods of disbursements in the geography.
Anticipate internal and external factors impacting the Low value cross border payments business regionally and implementing plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
Have a firm grip on competition and industry initiatives by developing local market knowledge and participating in industry events and seminars.
You will be able to demonstrate your understanding of different payment networks/clearing systems and channels preferably in cross border payments business
You will be able to give examples of presentation and influencing skills with key decision makers and c-suite customers
Extensive treasury management banking, payments channel or network management experience and knowledge of domestic clearing systems of International geographies a plus.
Experience with and/or prior collaboration with Sales, Technology and Compliance
Creative problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions
Superior negotiation and communication skills, can sell self and ideas
Ability to proactively distribute thought expertise
Desire to win
Presentation skills – making and delivering presentations to a varied audience
Bachelors degree, MBA preferred
Proficient in MS Office suite of applications
