JPMorgan Chase Executive Director – Americas Operations Lead -CIB Operations – Global Trade Finance Operations - Tampa in Tampa, Florida

The candidate in this role is an innovative, results driven professional with great people skills, deep expertise in Trade Finance Operations, and extensive experience in driving projects, with a robust continuous improvement background. This position will work across lines of businesses, geographies and verticals to drive broad change in systems and processes using lean, six sigma with a customer-obsessed culture to drive improved controls and enhanced client experience for internal and external stakeholders.

The ability to think big and execute at a tactical and strategic level is critical to the success of the candidate. The Role:

  • Responsible for overall management and oversight of Trade Finance Operations within the Americas, including planning, strategy, organizational structure, budget and resource allocation

  • Develops, recommends and executes operational plans in support of long-term business objectives and within budget

  • Exhibits full knowledge and thorough understanding of the entire Trade Finance Operations functions across multiple locations

  • Keeps abreast of new technologies and applications, and their implications for assigned area

  • Support the business location strategy, seeking opportunities to hub or de-hub processes as appropriate whilst maintaining resiliency capabilities at all times

  • Recognize and drive regional improvement opportunities arising from local situations

  • Ensure all operation procedures are in compliance with industry and legal regulatory rules and guidelines both locally and globally

  • Build exceptional relationship with business partners and stakeholders

  • Lead the strategy and execution of Process Re-engineering and Continuous Improvement of workflows to support Global Trade Finance Operations

  • Strong focus and background in Operational Control environments

  • Responsible to drive the Innovation across the organization to identify and support process automation and improvement

  • Drive culture of Innovation through visible hands-on leadership

  • Develop strategies and set priorities that enable successful execution to help deliver best-in-class operational delivery

  • Drive tactical and strategic execution of key initiatives, on point for multiple projects taking appropriate action to ensure timely and effective program oversight

  • Change agent with strong credibility and influence at all levels within the organization, strong ability to influence and interact with Executive level management

  • Plan and execute projects, with a strong sense of urgency, and ensure alignment with business strategy

  • Develop meaningful metrics to measure process quality and productivity, providing meaningful feedback to technology and business teams

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, decision makers and colleagues to ensure organizational goals are met

  • Responsible for partnering with key stakeholders in order to understand the strategy, direction and roadmap objectives for the business

  • Responsible for management, support, career development, mobility for our people

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other business related course of study

  • Proven track record at executive level within Trade Finance

  • Full understanding of Trade Finance business, operations and technology strategy

  • Has at least 10 years Operations/Product experience and in leadership roles

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leadership and lead a team to understand business goals and analyze opportunities

  • Demonstrated strong collaborative problem-solving skills evidenced by results in past positions

  • Strong Trade technical background in Trade Finance products, with an ability to redesign work flow and efficient throughput within Trade Finance operations

  • Strong communicator with ability to communicate with employees at all levels across the organization, from front-line associates to executives through written as well as verbal communication

  • Demonstrated Change Management experience
