The Strategy & Planning Business Operations Director is a member of the Consumer and Community (CCB) Location Strategy Center of Excellence (COE). The Location Strategy COE is responsible for the central management, oversight and execution of the global location strategies of the various CCB functions including the lines of business (i.e. Consumer, Business Banking, etc.), Operations, Technology, and support functions (i.e. Risk, Finance, etc.).
The Strategy & Planning team is responsible for providing consultation and guidance in developing, managing and driving the strategic location roadmap of each function, in alignment with CCB and corporate guiding principles. Additionally, the team has responsibility for end to end management of corporate reporting requirements throughout the year by working in close partnership with the JPMorgan CAO office and Global Real Estate. The Strategy & Planning Business Operations Director plays a critical leadership role in understanding the staffing demands of CCB to align with supply capacity, identifying and remediating gaps and challenges.
The Strategy & Planning Business Operations Director, leads a team of Relationship Managers who have responsibility in managing relations with a defined client base, taking a proactive approach to understand the business groups’ strategy, drivers, dependencies and pain points. Additionally manage staff members dedicated to the They and their team will thoroughly analyze staffing and co-location needs in order to influence short and long term strategy in sync with CCB objectives and Global Real Estate parameters.
Develop broad and thorough understanding of CCB business groups their drivers, strategic objectives and subsequent location strategy needs, goals, challenges, and dependencies.
Maintain proactive engagement model with clients to stay apprised of strategy adjustments, providing consultation and influence on business decisions
Identify potential obstacles and challenges before point of escalation and develop remediation strategy
Monitor and convey business groups’ adherence to Corporate Location Strategy (CLS) submissions
Drive CCB location strategy objectives through business groups to achieve time bound objectives
Understand, convey and monitor businesses adherence to Global Real Estate parameters
Manage CCB through CLS reporting cycles ensuring on time, accurate submissions. Extract executive highlights pertaining to each submission for use in Executive summaries.
Lead the team’s efforts with compiling all summary reporting needs associated with CLS cycles.
Develop and maintain working partnerships with critical, day to day partners including Real Estate Client Management, regional Real Estate contacts, and Finance
Create executive summaries, scorecards and numerous ad-hoc requests
Demonstrated thought leadership in ability to synthesize numerous, micro story lines into a global, macro CCB landscape. Extract critical updates and messages for awareness and develop recommendations for action.

Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and sustain working partnerships with various and numerous individuals at all levels of the organization
Proven ability to work with large quantities of data to analyse, interpret and extract critical observations
Strong MS suite skills a must: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, proficient in SharePoint. Tableau and Access a plus.
Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints.
Role will require periodic additional hours as necessary to ensure timely delivery of key deliverables.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in financial services operational execution
Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience
Understanding of CCB from within preferred
