We are seeking to hire an Executive Director to serve as the CFO for our Merchant Services business in the United States. The ideal candidate would be responsible for serving as a key advisor to the business lead covering areas across financial management, planning and results analysis, and business support of our Merchant Services in the United States.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, equally adept at detailed financial reporting/analysis and broad “out of box” strategic thinking (former consulting, investment banking, or payments industry experience is a major plus). The role is a hybrid of strategy, business analysis, and financial management/budgeting/planning – and will require outstanding partnership from the candidate to be successful. This role is highly cross-functional - working across Finance, Marketing, Business Development, Risk, Data Management, among other groups within the firm.

The position resides within the overall Finance organization for the Merchant Services Line of Business. Projects will be informed through proactive analysis, in partnership with cross-functional team members. Deliverables will be in the form of reports, prepared analytics with recommendations, as well as day-to-day budgeting/reporting/forecasting functions for Merchant Services.


  • Partner with thePresident of the portfolio, to formulate and drive viable business growth andpricing strategies with the perspective of firmwide strategies, economicoutlook, and competitive landscape

  • Work withLeadership, as well as Centers of Excellence across the business/financeorganizations including Planning & Analysis, Pricing, Investment Analytics,Field Strategy, Marketing to execute business strategy and development, andcontinually reengineer the business for optimal efficiency/growth withaccountability for profit and loss

  • Work with Financecounterparts in CIB / CB / Business Banking, to help explain portfolio trends,calculate revenue share and drive overall portfolio strategy

  • Provideinsightful business financial information to senior leadership and coordinatefinancial planning and budget/forecast management functions

  • Ensure accurate,secure and timely recording and reporting of business activities, includingmonthly, quarterly, budgets, forecasts, and other ad-hoc financial analyses

  • Partner in thepreparation of earnings materials and content to prepare executive managementfor quarterly earnings releases

  • Partner withteams across the Business/Finance operating model in driving decision-makingand creating appropriate Budgets that are aggressive, achievable, and tied tolong-term shareholder value

  • Attract, retainand develop a team of world class finance professionals

  • Develop andfoster working relationships with other businesses and functional groups tosupport business growth while balancing the appropriate controls


  • Bachelor Degree,with Masters a plus

  • Minimum 8 yearsof related finance experience, as well as prior management experience

  • Prior experiencein card / payments industry is a major plus

  • Ability tosynthesize and structure data to tell the story is important along with naturalintellectual curiosity and a problem-solving mindset.

  • Strongproficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required.

  • Excellent thoughtleadership, strategic business acumen, and intellectual curiosity

  • Attention todetail and capable to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
