This position will be a key part of the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Card Risk team.

As a Business Manager/Senior Analyst associate in the Card Risk organization reporting to the Chief Of Staff (CoS), you will support and drive execution on the Chief Risk Officer’s (CRO) vision and strategy. This will include management of the business, conducting complex risk analyses and reporting on a wide array of projects and day-to-day operations. A balance of initiative, leadership, influence and matrixed management skills are important success factors for this role.

The right candidate will be comfortable working independently or as part of small project teams. S/he has strong analytical skills, is highly confident and possesses superior communication skills. The position represents an excellent opportunity for candidates to:

  • Ensures all periodic reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) and functional review processes are executed; ensures accountability and completion of action items from reviews

  • Analyzing operational and financial data

  • Managing the budget process in close coordination with Finance, Human Resources and other partner teams.

  • Accurate coordination of headcount and expense budget; ensuring accountability and awareness of performance vs. budget across team

  • Coordinating execution of strategic initiatives, managing various leadership meetings, and other meetings at the direction of the Chief of Staff

  • Developing concise, high-quality communication materials for senior management

  • Working collaboratively with team members across Risk Management, the Card business, and partner organizations including Finance, Learning & Development, Human Resources and Technology

  • Responding to ad hoc, quick turnaround requests for information and analysis

  • Development of cross business communications and reporting; ensure timely consolidation of information requested

  • Handles confidential information in a professional manner

  • Build and maintain relationships with peers inside and outside the organization and to ensure strong collaboration across teams

  • Demonstration of a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and effective leadership

  • Excellent end-to-end generalist problem solving skills, preferably experience with a management consulting firm or in other roles in financial services

  • Ability to retain a strategic, big picture perspective and execution with attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written)

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills - ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, meeting tight deadlines and adapting to rapidly changing issues and work scenarios while delivering high quality output

  • Risk management experience a strong plus, but not required

  • Bachelor’s degree required
