Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Our Risk Management professionals work directly with Consumer Banking, Business Banking, Auto/Student Loan, Card and Commerce Services, Chase Wealth Management and Mortgage Banking to minimize, monitor and control the probability of risk events and mitigate the impact of risk events that do occur.
As a Risk Management Analyst/Associate, you will be a part of the credit risk management team that will be responsible to rebuild / recertify Card Risk strategies to incorporate new models.
In this role you will:
Conduct complex interaction analysis of risk, behavior, and profitability to integrate risk appetite based framework into consumer credit risk strategies.
Provide consistent framework to assess loss and profitability dynamics associated with credit decisions in normal as well as stressed economic scenarios.
Provide analytical support to the strategy teams in developing robust methodology, algorithm, and financially sound evaluation framework for credit risk strategies.
Utilize knowledge of risk modeling, profitability modeling, and relevant statistical knowledge to develop risk analysis framework that is consistent with the firm’s risk appetite framework.
Partner closely with other strategy areas of Risk, Marketing, and Finance to coordinate integration of risk appetite framework into credit strategies.
Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience or Master's degree with 2-3 years of banking analytics and consumer behavior analysis experience or related experience
Prior financial services work experience preferred, but not required
Experience applying complex mathematical models, assessing the accuracy of statistical models relating to changes in consumer behavior and analyzing the sensitivity related to key behavioral changes including attrition, spend, balance build and loyalty
Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and its impact in both operational and financial areas
Ability to compress large amounts of data into short and concise presentations with sound business conclusions
