The Marketing Director of Acquisitions will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans aimed at delivering increased acquisitions for the Partner co-branded credit card portfolio. She/He will be responsible for generating high quality new customer relationships that can drive strong growth for the portfolio over time. She/He will manage marketing activities and must have the ability to leverage internal resources to operationalize new and on-going business activities with a focus on controls.

Key focus areas:

  • Work with Co-brand Partner to develop innovative acquisition marketing plans, capabilities for the co-brand cards; develop the marketing drive calendar

  • Develop a strong working relationship with the Partner and achieve goal alignment

  • Obtain customer insights through market research and customer listening to drive marketing hypotheses and acquisitions strategy development

  • Define go-to market strategy including targeting and universe management, channel and offer optimization, positioning, and creative

  • Manage campaigns and initiatives that address partner M&A activities and impacts of dual-issuer model

  • Engage across the business, e.g., centers of excellence, to execute against strategy and achieve account and new vintage performance targets

  • Plan and deliver against financial, customer experience, operational and control goals

  • Strong leader with insight and ability to identify business opportunities, and manage P&L objectives

  • Experience and strong interest in digital marketing, capabilities, innovation

  • Strong interpersonal, project management, communications, multi-tasking, and leadership skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred

  • 10+ years marketing experience in marketing, credit card marketing experience strongly desired.

  • Strong control mindset and understanding of internal processes, procedures and systems linked to acquisition campaign execution
